Azpeitia continues to make the most of the second day of its San Inazio festivities, offering a variety of afternoon events following the midday cod competition. After a lively day centered around cod, the afternoon featured a foam party in Balentina Agirre square, much to the delight of children. Subsequently, young bulls from the Arno ranch were presented in Done Jakue street, alongside the III Inter-Team Olympics in the Txosnagune, featuring various games and plenty of humor among the participating teams.
The afternoon also included a bullfight in the bullring, featuring bulls from the Ana Romero ranch. The matadors were Morenito de Aranda, Jesus Enrique Colombo, and Ismael Martin. Notably, matador Colombo received the award for the best bullfighter of 2024 today. Additionally, the Fanfarre Betijai brass band entertained the town's streets.
In terms of sports events, the Eraman! Jai Alai club organized a Basque pelota festival at the Izarraitz fronton. In the women's match, Gogenola-Lejardi competed against Mugartegi-Watkins, while in the men's match, Erkiaga-Atain faced Goixerri-Lekerika.
The evening program includes music: Etxera jantokia (8:00 PM, Market Square), Iratzar band's romeria (9:30 PM, Olazko Ama square), Tapia eta Leturia (10:00 PM, Txosnagune), the show Geure(r)a by Harrobi Dantza Taldea (10:30 PM, town square), a concert by Los Zopilotes Txirriaos (11:30 PM, town square), and performances by Hazas (1:00 AM) and Kaparrak (2:30 AM) in the Txosnagune.
Tomorrow morning, the Incansables txaranga (6:00 AM) and the heifers from the Marques de Saka ranch (7:00 AM, for those over 16) will liven up the day in Done Jakue street.
