The 'Euskara bidegurutzean' lecture series, organized by Naziogintza Taldea, will conclude in Azpeitia on Tuesday, May 12, with sociolinguist Kike Amonarriz analyzing the successful linguistic evolution of Tolosa.

The lecture series organized by Naziogintza Taldea over the past few months will come to an end this Tuesday, May 12. Sociolinguist Kike Amonarriz will close the cycle, explaining the successful linguistic development of Tolosa.
Within the 'Euskara bidegurutzean' cycle, Amonarriz will present a lecture titled 'From 29% to 52% Usage. Keys to Tolosa's Experience'. The session will begin at 7:00 PM at Basazabal Palace, and admission will be free.
This marks the second lecture series organized by Naziogintza Taldea in Azpeitia. Last year, under the title 'Abertzaleak', there was an opportunity to learn about five emblematic figures of Basque nationalism. This time, under the title 'Euskara bidegurutzean', there have been four lectures and a round table, with today's being the last.

"The Basque language and Basque national consciousness interact. As Basque national consciousness expands, so too will the use of the Basque language, and vice versa."

the organizers
The main task of Naziogintza Taldea is to "spread and strengthen Basque national consciousness." For this, the Basque language is their central focus. With this in mind, they have organized this second lecture series to raise awareness about the current situation of the Basque language, its challenges, threats, and opportunities.
