The Sahatsa dance group continues its half-century anniversary celebrations, and will present another event as part of the festivities this Saturday, the 26th, at 18:30 in the Azpeitia square. The festival, named Sahatsa 50, will involve 70 dancers and musicians, including current members and former participants.
The dancers and musicians of Sahatsa will begin with a procession from the Basazabal palace, performing dances from Baja Navarra on their way to the town square. There, they will present a festival lasting approximately one hour and ten minutes, featuring dances from Lapurdi and Gipuzkoa, as well as the kaxarranka, fandango, arin-arin, and zirtzina, among others.
Last weekend, on the 19th, a similar festival was held in Azkoitia, which generated significant interest and received widespread applause.
Additionally, since last Friday, a photography exhibition titled Ezpata dantzariak (Sword Dancers) has been open at the Betharram hall in Azpeitia. This exhibition will be on display until Sunday, September 27th. The opening hours are: weekdays from 18:00 to 20:00 and weekends from 12:00 to 14:00.
