The Pelotari Day pelota championships are progressing in Azkoitia. Following the start of the men's two-and-a-half championship eliminatories on the 15th, today, Wednesday, marks the beginning of the men's doubles championship preliminary eliminatories in Kontzejupe. Competitions will take place today, tomorrow, and the day after tomorrow.

A total of 43 pairs have registered for this year's men's championship. The pairs that successfully pass the preliminary eliminatories will advance to the round of thirty-two, with these matches scheduled for the weeks of May 4 and May 11. The round of sixteen will be played during the week of May 18; the quarter-final eliminatories will occur in the first week of June; the semi-final matches, which will determine qualification for the final, will be played during the week of June 8; and the finals will take place on June 13, coinciding with Pelotari Day.

This week's preliminary eliminatory matches, day by day, starting at 18:00, are as follows:

Wednesday: Laja-Rocha vs Uritz-Iker, Xitu-Enaitz vs Juin-Epelde, Katre-Berastei vs Zabala-Motza.

Thursday: Axi-Denis vs Irazusta-Lizertza III.a, Aramendi-Badiola vs Segurola anaiak, Usa-Arkaitz vs Danel-Aitor, J. Pozo-I. Pablos vs Toota-Markel.

Friday: Arra-Luix vs Xomorro-Txitxo, G. Errasti-J. Izagirre vs Joritz-Unai, Zabale-Julen vs Maixa-Zabale, Olaizola-Goenaga vs Pottola-Oseo.

Furthermore, Pelotari Day t-shirts are now available for order. The Txulue association will be accepting orders online, and residents must complete a form before May 11 to select the t-shirt color and size. On match days, representatives from the Txulue association will be present in Kontzejupe for those who wish to try on t-shirts before ordering. Those who place an order will receive their t-shirts on June 3, 4, and 5.
