The Azkoitia Town Council has strongly condemned the recent incidents of fire extinguishers being discharged at the Kultur Etxea and Azkoitia BHI institute, labeling these acts as uncivil and potentially dangerous.

The Azkoitia Town Council has expressed its firm condemnation regarding the discharge of fire extinguishers at the Kultur Etxea (Cultural Center) and the Azkoitia BHI institute in recent weeks. Unknown individuals deliberately entered these two locations and emptied the extinguishers. The council believes these actions were carried out "for mischief or amusement".

"It is uncivil behavior and, of course, it has consequences; among others, a great deal of cleaning work."

The council has also warned that discharging fire extinguishers can create risks. It emphasized that, in addition to being a crime of damage, the substances expelled by the extinguishers can affect people's respiratory systems or eyesight. What starts as a "prank" can turn into a "misfortune".
According to the council, the Local Police have "clear indications" that minors are behind these acts. Consequently, a warning has been issued to young people to prevent such "mischief" or "unfortunate situations" from occurring again in the future.
