Dozens of children and young people competed this afternoon in the Antton Oñederra memorial cycling race, organized by the Peña Elorza club for the seventh time.

The cycling race in memory of Antton Oñederra, head of the Peña Elorza cycling club – who passed away in 2018 – brought together dozens of children and young people this afternoon. Organized by the Peña Elorza club, the races were held for the seventh time on a circuit between the Trenbidearen Zumardia (Railway Promenade) and the Juin industrial estate.
The competitions for the benjamin, alevín, and infantil categories commenced at 4:30 PM. Participants had to complete several laps of a circuit approximately 900 meters long: two laps for the benjamins, six for the alevines, and twelve for the infantiles. Numerous residents gathered around the circuit to cheer on the young athletes.

Podiums were established in the alevín and infantil categories, as no classification was made in the benjamin category.

In the boys' alevín category, the race was won by Julen Zinkunegi of Peña Elorza, with Eñaut Lizarralde and Iker Barrueta securing second and third place, respectively. In the girls' race, Kattalin Urzelai emerged victorious, and Maddi Agirretxe finished second.
In the infantil category, Xabat Aizpuru of Peña Elorza won the boys' race, followed by his teammate Julen Osa in second place and Xabat Aiastui in third. Among the girls, Nahikari Oria of Peña Elorza took the top spot, with June Iraolagoitia and Elene Uriarte, also from Peña Elorza, finishing second and third respectively.
