The Azpeitia City Council and the Bertan Merchants Association will launch the 'Azpeitia Zaindu' voucher campaign on November 5th to promote the economy of local commerce, hospitality, and small services, and to provide citizens with a shopping incentive.

The campaign will have a direct economic impact of nearly 200,000 euros on local commerce. A total of 4,000 vouchers will be issued, each with a value of 50 euros, available for purchase at 35 euros. The sale of vouchers will begin on the afternoon of Thursday, November 5th, and they can be used until January 5th, 2027, at participating establishments. The City Council will allocate 60,000 euros to this campaign.
Establishments wishing to participate must contact the Bertan association before 12:00 PM on Tuesday, November 3rd, by calling 943 02 56 73 or 688 82 39 44, or by emailing bertan.azpeitia@gmail.com.
As in previous campaigns, this year all citizens turning 18 (born in 2008) will receive a 15 euro voucher as a gift, without needing to purchase it. The initiative aims to introduce young people to local commerce.
Mayor Nagore Alkorta highlighted that the City Council continues its commitment to supporting small businesses for another year, in collaboration with Bertan.
Vouchers can be purchased on November 5th and 6th in person at the Azpeitia Azoka Plaza, and online at https://www.azpeitiazaindu.eus.
