With the aim of promoting healthy and sustainable living habits, the Gorliz City Council has initiated two grant lines for 2026. Firstly, grants will be offered for renting the use of the so-called Ecological Gardens, promoting more enriching and practical leisure alternatives while also fostering sustainable living habits.
Secondly, grants will also be promoted for taking swimming courses at the Sopela municipal swimming pool. The objective of these grants is to compensate for the difference in tariffs between individuals registered in Sopela and those who do not reside in the municipality, reinforcing the City Council's commitment to promoting sports and encouraging citizens to stay active.
Applications for swimming courses will be open until December 14, 2026. For grants related to the use of ecological gardens, the submission deadline is December 4, 2026.
These grants are aimed at individuals registered in Gorliz. For swimming course grants, applicants must be under 18 years old, over 65 years old, or unemployed for at least four consecutive months. For garden grants, only one application per family unit (persons appearing on the same registration sheet) may be submitted.
