Oier Zubeldia and Maider Unanue, Fastest in Txindoki Bertikala

This year's Txindoki Bertikala mountain race saw Oier Zubeldia and Maider Unanue emerge victorious, battling strong winds.

In this year's Txindoki Bertikala mountain race, which started in the Larraitz area, Oier Zubeldia from Amezketarra and Maider Unanue from Arama achieved the best times, despite strong winds.

In this uphill time trial, in the men's category, Oier Zubeldia was the quickest to reach the summit of Txindoki, with an excellent time of 36.50 minutes. Second place went to Thomas Darroges from Occitania, with a mark of 37.55 minutes, narrowly beating Jokin Tolosa from Anoeta, who took 37.56 minutes to reach the peak.
Among the women, Maider Unanue from Arama secured the victory with a time of 46.22 minutes. The second and third places were taken by runners from the region: Leire Elola from Tolosa finished in 46.59 minutes, and Eider Zubeldia from Amezketarra completed the podium with a time of 47.19 minutes.
