The Esférica Rioja Alavesa festival will celebrate its new edition on July 3-4, merging live music performances with experiences linked to wine, gastronomy, and the surrounding environment.

Following last year's cancellation and a reformulation of the event, the Esférica Rioja Alavesa festival aims to embark on a new phase in early July. Organizers have decided to concentrate the concerts into a single day and place greater emphasis on experiences related to wine, gastronomy, and the region's natural setting.
The live music offering remains a core component. The lineup for July 3-4 has been announced, featuring prominent artists such as Mikel Erentxun, Baiuca, and Sr. Chinarro. These concerts, along with DJ sets, will primarily take place on Saturday in the towns of Laguardia, Villabuena de Álava, and Elvillar.
The festival will open on Friday, July 3, at the church of Nuestra Señora de la Asunción in Elvillar, with a performance by Sr. Chinarro, described as "a key figure in Spanish independent pop, with a career spanning over 18 albums and a sharp, observational, and critical writing style." The artist will present his latest work, El año de la pera, revisiting songs from his early career.
On Saturday, July 4, the festival will be spread across two stages. The free-access area in Villabuena de Álava, located in the Árbol de Guernica square, will host Maren, performing tracks from her album Qué lástima. Joining her will be La Flaca and Mute All, offering sets tailored to the Rioja Alavesa region.
On the same day, Laguardia will also host a part of the festival at El Collado park, requiring paid admission. Mute All will perform here as well, alongside producer Baiuca (Alejandro Guillán), recognized as "a reference in Spanish folktronica." The event will conclude with a performance by Mikel Erentxun from San Sebastián, who will revisit songs by Duncan Dhu, marking the first step towards a more positive future for the festival.
