The Agurain Council and local schools, including Lope De Larrea Ikastola, Lautada Ikastola, and Aniturri BHI, are seeking the Basque Government's Department of Education support for a youth well-being initiative, citing a lack of response.

The Agurain Council has requested that the Department of Education of the Basque Government facilitate the implementation of a social and educational program designed in collaboration with the municipality's schools. The initiative aims to develop public policies that promote the well-being, inclusion, and social justice of children and adolescents.
To prepare the program, a diagnosis was conducted among students aged 10 to 18, involving Lope De Larrea Ikastola, Lautada Ikastola, and the Aniturri BHI institute. However, the process to contract the necessary support for developing the plan has encountered obstacles, according to the council, as the Department of Education has not responded to meeting requests made in the past month.
In response, the Agurain town council has asked the Department of Education to grant the necessary authorization to launch the service through collaboration between the council and the schools. They have also requested an urgent meeting to avoid further delays in starting this program aimed at young people and adolescents.
