Erik-Aratz and Bixente-Oyhenard have qualified this Saturday for the semifinals of the Donostia Grand Slam, organized by the company Jai Alive. The first pair will face Txanika-Argoitia, while the second will compete against Urrutia-Ekhi for a spot in the final next Saturday at the Carmelo Balda court in Donostia.
Erik Mendizabal and Aratz Goikoetxea defeated Víctor-Kanpandegi in two games. The 17-year-old backend player from Berriatua is proving to be a raw diamond. The veteran from Mutriku and the newcomer demonstrated their skill in this significant tournament, winning 15-10 and 15-8.
In the festival's opening match, Guillem Oyhenard was the standout player with an impressive display of skill. The backend player from Maule was highly praised and earned the title of best performer of the event. He overcame Rubén Bailo in the backcourt and propelled his partner to the semifinals with scores of 9-15 and 12-15.
In the women's category, Lur Lejardi and Alize secured their place in the final on June 13th after a hard-fought match against Tania Mayorga and Arai Lejardi. The winners came back from a 13-15 deficit to win 15-11 and 5-2.
