Previously, the tupperware collection was aimed at families with minors. With this expansion, any person, regardless of age, can join this participatory proposal and contribute to leaving a testimony of present-day Leioa for future generations.
Interested individuals can collect their tupperware at the Baserri de Pinosolo and Kultur Leioa: on Thursday, October 29, from 10:00 to 13:00 and from 16:30 to 19:30, and on Friday, October 30, from 10:00 to 13:00.
Each person or family can prepare their tupperware with photographs, drawings, messages, or other mementos they wish to share with those living in Leioa in 25 years.
The delivery of the prepared tupperware for burial will take place on Saturday, October 31, from 9:00 to 14:00, at the designated point next to the City Hall. The burial of the first container is scheduled for 12:00 and the last for 14:00. Anyone wishing to do so can attend and enjoy the moment.
Throughout the morning, there will also be a participatory radio where participants can record messages for future generations. These recordings will be preserved along with the memories deposited in the tupperware.
Those unable to attend on Saturday morning have the option to deliver their tupperware at Kultur Leioa during the week, until Friday, October 30, during the center's usual opening hours.
With this expansion, the City Council encourages all citizens to participate in an initiative that seeks to gather different perspectives, memories, and experiences of Leioa in its 500th anniversary year, collectively building a small part of the municipality's collective memory.
