Getxo City Council has organized the 'Childhood, Through Emotions' workshop for October 17th, aimed at parents and reference adults of children and adolescents.

Getxo City Council has organized a workshop aimed at parents and other reference adults for children and adolescents, from childhood through adolescence. This initiative is part of the municipal 'Parents' School' program, which seeks to address various needs and challenges related to children's education from a pedagogical, preventive, and community perspective.
Carmen Diaz, Councilor for Social Cohesion, emphasized that participants will be offered tools to better understand what minors express. This will be achieved through presence, active listening, and setting boundaries, helping children manage conflicts and daily emotions, alongside fostering more assertive and pedagogical communication methods.
The workshop will take place on October 17th, from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM, at the Getxo Elkartegia. Organizers have announced that the event will be held in Basque, with simultaneous translation into Spanish available. Furthermore, the workshop is free for those who register in advance.
