Getxo Moda is an established fashion event in Euskadi that uses fashion to stimulate commerce, foster talent, and promote Getxo's tourism and culture by showcasing local designers, brands, and shops.
Its main activity includes fashion shows featuring Getxo retailers and Basque designers, with a strong focus on promoting local businesses and encouraging proximity shopping.
The project is funded with €55,000. Key activities include: Getxo Moda Lab (Emerging Talent Runway), a platform for young designers; Basque Style (Industry, Identity, and Consolidated Creation), recognizing mature Basque fashion; and Basque BioDesign Center (Fashion, Sustainability, and Innovation), a European hub for bio-couture and biomaterials.
Additionally, the GETXOENPRESA-NEO 2 Excellence Award will be presented. A Official Round Table of Getxo Moda 2026, titled “The Fashion of the Future is Already Present,” will explore design, innovation, and sustainability.
A significant highlight will be the participation of international guest designer Assaad Awad, known for his conceptual and technological proposals. The 39th edition will conclude with a runway show at Muxikebarri on October 29, 2026.
