Reparaciones Samur, a company from Abadiño with 34 years of experience in compressor sales and maintenance, is diversifying its activity by entering the market for injection mold cooling machines, with support from SPRI.

Reparaciones Samur, a company based in Abadiño with a 34-year track record in compressor sales and maintenance, aims to diversify its operations by entering the market for cooling machines for injection molds, having received digitalization grants from SPRI Taldea.
The company was founded in 1992 as a continuation of Compresoras Samur, which had 120 employees and was part of the Ormazabal Group before its closure due to the crisis. "We, the employees from that company, founded Reparaciones Samur in 1992. We were the ones involved in technical assistance," stated manager Ander Bengoa.
The new company has maintained the same activity, providing technical service to clients. They started with four employees and have gradually grown. "Some partners have retired, and I have been the manager since 2017. That year we expanded the pavilion, which was rented, and in 2022 we purchased the building," he added.
Reparaciones Samur sells, repairs, and maintains various equipment. Until now, they focused on compressors and conveyor belts, "but seeing the market saturation, we have entered the world of cooling machines for injection molds and are exploring new markets." Thanks to a recently signed agreement with a local engineering firm, they have positioned themselves in the service of monitoring consumption and energy efficiency, "in an integrated platform for consultation for both the client and ourselves, to better execute preventive and corrective maintenance."
To enhance their commercial proposals, they directly manage grants and CAES certifications within this agreement, aiming to provide a distinctive response. They offer maintenance services for all types of brands and for a wide range of sectors: general industry, automotive, foundries, food industry, or carpentry. "It serves any service requiring compressors, conveyor belts, or cooling machines."
They employ a total of 10 people, with an annual turnover exceeding 1.7 million euros, and have achieved a 70% growth in the last 9 years. "We have continuous growth." Their market is primarily focused on Euskadi, but they also sell to companies in La Rioja and Navarra.
The company has received grants from SPRI for digitalization, which they have used "for the new ERP system we are implementing." Offering ready-to-use solutions, making improvements, and streamlining internal processes are their challenges, which they are implementing in the new ERP, location management, monitoring, predictive machine analysis, and agreements with new brands in the air, cold, and cutting sectors, to encompass all types of clients.
