Young artists aged between 15 and 29 from the four municipalities of the Ezkerraldea region can now register for the next edition of the Gazte Artea Ezkerraldean exhibition, with the deadline set for June 12.

This exhibition, which will tour Portugalete, Barakaldo, Sestao, and Santurtzi, is a well-established initiative in the region. Those interested in participating must complete a form with their personal details and a brief description of their artistic career.
The form can be obtained from the Youth services of the four participating town halls. In addition, each artist must submit digital images of their works, the corresponding technical sheet, and a narrative explaining what they intend to convey with each creation. Artistic disciplines accepted in Gazte Artea Ezkerraldean include photography, painting, engraving, illustration, and sculpture, although the organization may consider other proposals.
Once the registration period closes, each of the four municipalities involved in this project, which is supported by the Bizkaia Provincial Council, will select a new artist to represent them. With the four participating artists chosen, the itinerant exhibition will commence in the autumn.
Portugalete will be the first municipality to host the exhibition, where it can be seen at the Gazte Gela between October 2 and 28. Barakaldo will then take over, with the exhibition at Gazte Bulegoa between November 2 and 27. In Sestao, the exhibition will be enjoyed at the Music School between December 2 and 31, and in 2027, from January 6 to 29, Gazte Artea Ezkerraldean will be showcased at the Casa Torre in Santurtzi.
