Man Hospitalized After Suffering Blow to the Head in Bilbao Altercation

A man was taken to Basurto hospital on Saturday after sustaining a serious head injury during a daylight altercation that occurred around midday.

The scuffle took place at approximately 11:15 AM in the Galerías Urquijo, located in the city center. Sources from the Bilbao City Council indicated that one of the individuals involved «kicked another in the head».
As a result of the impact, the victim «fell backward», hitting the ground and sustaining a wound. The victim subsequently required medical attention and transport to a healthcare facility.
The aggressor, who was arrested by the Municipal Police, was reportedly punched in the face by a third party whom he could not identify.
