Bilbao's Municipal Police arrested a man early Saturday morning for assaulting his partner on Gordóniz street, according to security department spokespersons.

The incident occurred shortly after six in the morning, near La Casilla. Apparently, the victim, who was with other people, did not require medical attention. The altercation alerted local residents, who reported hearing "shouts" from several women.
Several urban guard patrols responded to the scene and arrested the man for alleged gender violence. Additionally, in Plaza Bizkaia, two other men were arrested for threatening each other with two broken glass bottles.
Last Thursday, the urban guard also arrested a 40-year-old man for similar reasons in the Uretamendi neighborhood. Officers responded to a report from residents about a group of young people drinking in a park. One of them refused identification, broke a bottle against a wall, and threatened the police.
