The Lasesarre sports center in Barakaldo will host the VI National Championship of Modern and Urban Dance of Euskadi next weekend, April 18 and 19, featuring over 3,238 dancers.

Fans of modern and urban dance have a significant event to look forward to in Barakaldo, where the Lasesarre sports center will host the VI National Championship of Modern and Urban Dance of Euskadi on April 18 and 19. This event continues to be one of the main references for this discipline in the northern region.
This year's edition has broken registration records, bringing together a total of 3,238 dancers. This figure represents a 16% increase compared to previous years and quadruples the numbers from the first year. Participation is open to both amateurs and professionals, who can compete individually or in groups.
The originality of the choreographies will be highly valued, and approximately thirty awards will be distributed. Ten of these prizes will include monetary endowments, totaling 3,000 euros. An international jury will be responsible for selecting the best proposals. Among the notable judges are Pablo Costas, a choreographer and director who has worked with artists such as Dua Lipa, Shakira, and Kylie Minogue, and the Frenchman Jerky Jessy, one of the choreographers for the popular Just Dance video game series.
In addition to the competition, the first day will feature various masterclasses taught by experts. Tickets for Sunday's session, where attendees can enjoy the participants' choreographies, are already sold out, highlighting the immense success and interest in the event.
