Over 20,000 Euros Seized from Two Passengers Traveling to China at Loiu Airport

The Bizkaia Civil Guard discovered a significant amount of undeclared cash in the hand luggage of two individuals en route to China, with a layover in Madrid.

The Bizkaia Civil Guard has seized 20,870 euros from two passengers at Loiu Airport who were traveling to China, after detecting a substantial amount of undeclared money in their hand luggage.

A total of 20,870 euros was seized by Civil Guard agents from two individuals at Loiu Airport. These travelers were bound for China, with a scheduled stopover in Madrid. The cash was discovered inside their hand luggage, where they had stored 10,000 and 10,870 euros, respectively.
Following the discovery, 18,870 euros of the total amount were confiscated. Each traveler was allowed to retain one thousand euros, designated as a sum for «minimum survival» to continue their journey.
