Osakidetza Announces Dates and Times for First OPE Exams

The Basque Health Service has released the schedule for the initial public employment offer tests to be held in June 2026.

Osakidetza has published the dates and times for the first selective tests of its Public Employment Offer (OPE) 2023-2024-2025, which are scheduled to take place at the BEC in Barakaldo on June 19, 20, and 21, 2026.

The selective examinations will be conducted at the BEC on Friday, June 19; Saturday, June 20; and Sunday, June 21. Three time slots have been designated for these tests: 9:30 AM, 1:30 PM, and 5:30 PM. Detailed schedules for specific categories are available on Osakidetza's OPE website.
This new call for public employment includes exams for the 9 professional categories that opened their registration period on March 23. The Osakidetza OPE 23-24-25 introduces several innovations compared to previous offers, such as the option to retain test scores and the implementation of a single multiple-choice exam. To aid candidate preparation, Osakidetza has provided question banks for each selection process.
In total, this new Osakidetza OPE will offer 5,425 positions, with 2,160 being newly created roles across 107 professional categories. The initial selective tests, scheduled for June 19, 20, and 21, pertain to 9 professional categories, including those that traditionally attract the largest number of applicants.
With this OPE 23-24-25, the Department of Health of the Basque Government and Osakidetza reinforce their firm commitment to stabilizing the workforce and strengthening the public health system, in alignment with the commitments outlined in the Basque Health Pact.
