The male rowers of Orio Arraunketa Elkartea decisively won the Spanish Rowing Championship this weekend in Meira (Galicia), with a time of 19:53;75. Donostiarra came in second (20:06;51), closely followed by Zierbena (20:12;07). Cabo da Cruz finished in fourth place (20:50;59).
From the start, there was a tight competition between Orio and Donostiarra. However, at the first turn, Orio managed to take the lead, and by the second turn, they had already established a 7-second advantage over Donostiarra. Zierbena also put up a strong performance, finishing just seconds behind Donostiarra.
Orio, the only boat to finish under 20 minutes, has earned its seventeenth victory in the Spanish Championship. With only two weeks remaining until the start of the Euskalduna League, the team has made it clear they will be a formidable opponent this season.
