This Saturday afternoon, traffic on Bizkaia's roads was severely impacted by multiple accidents. One notable incident occurred on the Txorierri Corridor (BI-30) near Zamudio, heading towards Erletxes, around 7:20 PM. A vehicle veered off the road, causing approximately two kilometers of traffic jams on the airport access routes. The Security Department of the Basque Government confirmed that one person was evacuated to a medical center.
Earlier, at approximately 6:00 PM, a multi-vehicle collision on the A-8, near the commercial area of Barakaldo, involved four vehicles. The crash, which took place in the direction of Cantabria, necessitated the closure of two lanes and left two individuals injured, who were subsequently transported to Cruces Hospital. This incident also led to significant congestion on the access roads to the municipality.

Furthermore, on the same A-8, near Bilbao's Rekalde neighborhood, heading towards San Sebastián, a van lost control and left the roadway. This also caused a kilometer of traffic jams as two lanes had to be closed. Finally, in Abadiño, on the AP-8, at 4:15 PM, a collision between two cars in the Bilbao direction resulted in one person being injured. The involved vehicles occupied the central and left lanes, also creating significant traffic delays.
