The Leioa City Council has launched a public auction for 27 parking spaces, open to adult residents registered in the municipality who have their tax and Social Security obligations up to date.

The initiative aims to utilize municipal assets not currently essential for city operations while simultaneously improving parking availability in the area. The sale of these spaces is linked to upcoming changes, as the construction of a future institute will reduce the number of available garage spots.
Of the 25 plots to be auctioned, 10 will range from 10 to 18 square meters, while the other two will be enclosed 30-square-meter plots with storage space. Starting prices, determined by municipal appraisal, will be around 34,700 euros for those with storage and between 16,668 and 18,709 euros for the others, depending on size.
Offers will be primarily evaluated based on the economic proposal (95 points), with an additional 5 points awarded for advance payment. In case of a tie, priority will be given to residents in buildings without nearby garages to the Ikeabarri square, followed by owners of properties with existing garages in the vicinity. If a tie persists, a draw will be held.
Offers must be submitted electronically via www.contratacion.euskadi.eus. Residents facing difficulties with the online process can utilize the KONECTA service at Plaza Errekalde and Langileria.
Interested parties can view the plots in person on Thursday, June 4th, with two scheduled tours: at 12:00 PM and 6:00 PM. Visits will commence at the local health center.
