Dense fog at Bilbao Airport early this Monday morning caused two scheduled flights to be diverted to Asturias due to poor visibility conditions.

The fog that blanketed Bilbao Airport early this Monday morning resulted in two aircraft, originally scheduled to land at 'La Paloma', being unable to do so. These two flights, among the first expected to arrive in Bizkaia, were impacted by the low visibility caused by the weather phenomenon.
The first aircraft to reach Bilbao Airport, arriving from Madrid and operated by AirEuropa, landed without issues. However, half an hour later, a flight from Paris Orly was scheduled to arrive but had to be diverted to Asturias. The same fate befell another plane coming from Barcelona, which was also rerouted to Asturias.
Between these two diversions, another flight, operated by Vueling and originating from Palma de Mallorca, successfully landed at Bilbao Airport. The remainder of the day proceeded normally at the Bizkaia airport facilities.
