The Basque Security Forum held a meeting in Erandio for representatives from institutions, companies, and associations in the Txorierri region to share their security concerns and future challenges. The meeting was presided over by the Security Councillor, Bingen Zupiria, and included participation from the Basque Government, the Provincial Council of Bizkaia, the Ertzaintza, Osakidetza, and various municipal councils from the area, including Erandio, Leioa, Sondika, Loiu, Derio, Zamudio, Lezama, and Larrabetzu.
The purpose of these Forum meetings is to gather participants' diagnoses and proposals through participatory dynamics. This aims to strengthen cooperation between administrations and involved agents to enhance the joint response to current and future security challenges.
Today's gathering marked the twenty-eighth meeting of the Basque Security Forum. Prior to this, similar meetings have been held in the following regions: Hernanialdea, Urdaibai, Urola Garaia, Uribe Kosta, Urola Erdia, Vitoria-Gasteiz, Ibaizabal, Bidasoa, Mungialdea, Goierri, Debagoiena, Meatzaldea, Rioja y Montaña Alavesa, Oarsoaldea, Bilbao, Aiaraldea, Urola Kosta, Lea-Artibai, Ezkerraldea, Debabarrena, Enkarterri, Araba, and Gipuzkoa and Bizkaia, in addition to a session with young people.
The Basque Security Forum is a participatory process designed to build a shared diagnosis of security from an integral perspective. Within this framework, various institutions, entities, and agents find a common ground to address the security issues that concern them.
