San Mamés stadium in Bilbao will host the EHU's major joint graduation and postgraduate ceremony this Friday, bringing together nearly 4,000 students. The celebration will combine live music, bertsolaritza (Basque improvisational poetry singing), and scientific outreach.

The venue will feature a 44-meter stage, 26 meters of screens, 3,700 chairs on the pitch, four live broadcasts, and the participation of deans, directors, and over 200 doctors. The first EHUalumni awards will also be presented, and the rector, Joxerramon Bengoetxea, will give a speech.

The graduates will be the protagonists, organized by faculties and knowledge areas, while the audience will follow the ceremony from the stands via giant screens. As a novelty, graduates will parade wearing txapelas (traditional Basque caps) instead of the usual mortarboards.

The cultural program will include performances by bertsolaris Nøgen, Janus Lester, Maialen Lujanbio, and Amets Arzallus, as well as Eñaut Elorrieta and the participation of Sol Band Gaza. The university choir, EHUabesbatza, will open the event by singing the university anthem.

The day will begin at 4:00 PM with a call for photos at the photocalls set up around the stadium. Access to the pitch will be staggered from 5:30 PM by faculty, after collecting academic sashes and txapelas. The ceremony will commence at 6:30 PM and will be broadcast live via streaming.
