In the neighborhoods of Arrigorriaga, such as Arandia, Kristo zeharkalea, Landarraga, Makua, and Padura, the Cristo Festivities will be held this Saturday, September 12th. Activities will commence on Friday, September 11th, with Mus arina, a football final, and the ‘Kristo Miatzen’ event. On Saturday, meanwhile, there will be children's workshops, a neighborhood meal, street entertainment, and competitions, among other activities.
The program includes specific activities: on Saturday, September 12th, there will be a 'diana' with txistularis, face painting, tattoos, games, the La Compe band, an Igel tournament, a 'porra' competition, traditional Basque sports, a neighborhood meal, Kittu Taldea, the final of the foosball championship, 'buruhandiak' (giants and big-heads), DJ Koldo, and the closing of the festivities.
Furthermore, the eighth edition of the Arrigorriaga Ausartak Mountain Race will take place on January 16th and 17th, 2027. Registration will open on October 1st. The seventh edition, held on the weekend of January 17th and 18th, 2026, was marked by rain and mud, and saw 824 participants.
Heidelberg Materials will present a strategic decarbonization and circular economy project to the public on Wednesday, September 9th, at the Edurne Garitazelaia Cultural Center, starting at 18:30. This will be an open meeting to discuss the project's proposed changes to Arrigorriaga's General Urban Planning Plan (PGOU).
The Ollargan festivities will also be celebrated in Arrigorriaga from September 3rd to 6th. The Festival Committee and the City Council have prepared concerts, children's activities, games, and gastronomic competitions. Among this year's novelties are a live performance by Leticia Sabater and DJ Enimusic.
The Arrigorriaga municipal euskaltegi (Basque language center) has opened its enrollment period until September 22nd. This year marks its 40th anniversary, and a 50 euro discount will be offered for those who register by September 10th. The euskaltegi offers courses at A1, A2, B1, B2, and C1 levels, as well as special groups for retirees, youth, and the unemployed.
Additionally, municipal courses at the Arrigorriaga sports center will begin on September 1st. Courses such as Body Cycle, adult gymnastics, zumba fit, pilates, and calorie-burning classes will be launched. Aqua Gym, GAP, and Yoga courses will start in October, with registrations open until September 10th for subscribers.
