The Basauri City Council will contract a specialized company to analyze the potential demand for a new underground car park planned in the Pozokoetxe neighborhood, as part of the PERU plan.

The Basauri City Council is exploring the possibility of constructing an underground car park in the Pozokoetxe neighborhood, as outlined in the Special Urban Regeneration Plan (PERU). The project envisions approximately 150 spaces, and while initially conceived for sale, the municipal government is considering allocating a portion of the area for a rotating parking system.
To determine the project's viability, the Council has commissioned a specialized firm to conduct a demand study. The aim is to understand the parking needs in the area and estimate the likelihood of selling the spaces. The resulting document must include a diagnosis of the current parking situation, an analysis of potential demand, and a forecast of its long-term viability.
As part of this study, an inventory of on-street parking spaces will be carried out at three different times during the day and at night, within a 300-meter radius around the proposed car park site. This will help determine occupancy levels, ascertain whether vehicles belong to Basauri residents, and evaluate the distance residents in the vicinity park at night.
