The unique voice and personality of Aurora Beltrán have moved thousands this week. The Navarrese singer, accompanied solely by her guitar and the violin and accordion of the duo Fetén Fetén, paid homage last Monday at the Actitud RockFM Awards ceremony to the cherished Robe Iniesta (Extremoduro) and Jorge Martínez (Ilegales).
After presenting one of the night's awards to Margarita del Val (among other honorees like Edurne Pasaban, Leo Harlem, and Eneko Atxa), the Navarrese artist soulfully performed Extremoduro's 'Stand By' and Ilegales' 'Tiempos Nuevos, Tiempos Salvajes' to a captivated audience. The moment has gone viral on social media, with videos of both songs garnering hundreds of thousands of views.
Particularly touching was the moment when Iñaki Uoho, guitarist for Extremoduro and present at the event, gave Aurora Beltrán a strong embrace after her rendition of 'Stand By', to the applause of those in attendance.
Meanwhile, Loquillo, who admitted to being impressed by the artist's rendition of the Ilegales track, proposed before presenting his award to Edurne Pasaban that the authorities posthumously grant the Gold Medal of the Arts to Jorge Martínez.
RockFM filled the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao with attitude last Monday for the second edition of the Actitud RockFM Awards, an event that recognizes individuals outside the music industry who, from their respective fields, embody the spirit of rock and roll.
