The town of Alonsotegi will be celebrating its traditional Andra Mari festivities from May 29 to 31. The celebrations will kick off on Friday, the 29th, at 7:00 PM with the opening speech and 'txupinazo' (firecracker) by the group Alpino Goikomendi. The main festive area will be located in the Plaza de las Escuelas.

Among the highlights is a 'castellers' (human towers) performance by the group Xiquets de Tarragona on Saturday, the 30th, at 6:30 PM. The day before, Friday at 9:00 PM, they will hold an open rehearsal in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento.

On Saturday, there will also be a txikigune (children's play area) from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM and from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM in Plaza Medinabeitia. A sukalki (traditional stew) cooking contest and bingo will also take place. The musical entertainment will include a tribute to Extremoduro and Robe, and another act performing songs by Marea.

On Sunday, among other events, the traditional mass will be held with the group Ahotsak. There will also be Basque dances (euskal dantza), a barbecue, and a "rana" (frog game) contest.
