The Basauri City Council has organized a series of activities for its November program, coinciding with the International Day against Machista Violence (November 25th), aiming to combat machismo and promote awareness.

The program will kick off on November 4th with another edition of «Zinemakumeak gara!», featuring the film «Yo no moriré de amor» at the Sozial Antzokia. Throughout the month, there will also be a presentation and guided tour of the exhibition Travesía by artist Carolina Zuluaga, starting on November 10th.
In the music sector, in collaboration with the Rockein and MAZ Basauri festivals, on November 12th, Lova Loise and Afrika Bibang will give a talk about women in the music industry. Furthermore, on November 19th, Basauri-based journalist Leire Palacios will lead a workshop on fake news to encourage responsible and empathetic use of social media.
To prevent machista violence, the experience «Behin eta berriro» has been organized for individuals over 16 years old. This activity allows participants to journey through different everyday life situations and identify scenarios of machista violence. A total of eight guided tours, in Basque and Spanish, are scheduled between November 18th and 26th.
Additionally, on November 21st, the Basauri Equality Council will hold an event in A25 square, inviting all citizens to attend. To round off the program, on December 9th, the awards for the local Beldur Barik competition will be presented.
