The Bilbao City Council hosted its annual Euskera Advisory Council meeting this morning. Presided over by the Councillor for Euskera, Citizen Attention and Participation, Agenda 2030 and International Affairs, Eider Inuntziaga, representatives from various sectors of the Euskera world in the city participated. One of the central themes of today's session was the family and generational transmission of Euskera and the tools that make it possible.
The City Council established the Bilbao Euskera Advisory Council in 2016 as a consultative and informative body with the aim of promoting the normalization and use of Euskera in various aspects of daily life in Bilbao. The objective is to work transversally and within the framework of Bilbao's AROA Strategic Plan to ensure the normalization of Euskera at both institutional and social levels.
