In this first edition, eight young people between the ages of 14 and 17 have registered, all from the Gaztelu scything school. The participants are: Xuban Gartzia, Inge Goikoetxea, Haizea Larrañaga, Mari Olazarre, Claudia Pellus, Irati Tomé, Aner Zunzunegi, and Lorea Zunzunegi.
The project aims to offer young people the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of scything, combining technical training, safety, and the values of traditional Basque sports. It also seeks to address the challenge of generational succession, preparing future scythers and ensuring the transmission of this sport.
The presentation event was held at the Sports House in Donostia, and today's meeting was the second appointment of the itinerary. The next session will take place in Asteasu on July 11th.
