Mondragon Unibertsitatea has initiated a new edition of its competition to promote technological and industrial entrepreneurship projects, offering over 100,000 euros in support to startups in the Goierri region.

Mondragon Unibertsitatea has launched a new edition of its competition to foster technological and industrial entrepreneurship projects with a sustainable foundation. This initiative aims to strengthen the connection between young talent and the emerging business fabric in the Goierri area.
The program, named Mondragon Unibertsitatea Industrial Sustainable Entrepreneurship Awards, will distribute over 100,000 euros in scholarships to support projects in their initial stages. The core of this call is to enable technological or industrial startups to incorporate engineering students from the Higher Polytechnic School, thereby contributing to the real development of their initiatives.
Each selected project can receive up to 30,000 euros to integrate a student for a period ranging from three months to two years. Furthermore, teams will have the flexibility to choose the profile that best suits their needs, from specializations such as mechanics, design, or industrial organization to more advanced fields like robotics, biomedicine, or cybersecurity.
Beyond funding, the program offers comprehensive support. Projects will benefit from technological assistance from the university's research groups, personalized entrepreneurship advice, and training in business management. Additionally, they will have access to workspaces, support in seeking additional funding, and guidance on key aspects such as industrial and intellectual property protection.
The call is open to original ideas, but also allows for the submission of projects that have participated in previous editions without having received awards, thus expanding opportunities for initiatives still under development. The registration period remains open until April 20, so interested entrepreneurs still have time to submit their proposals.
The initiative is backed by entities such as Fagor, Orbea, and Corporación Mondragon, and collaborates with Gaztenpresa, Saiolan, GARAIA, and Galbaian.
