The Ordizia Town Hall has donated 10 computers to the Digilagun project to support individuals with difficulties accessing technological resources. This initiative, driven by the cooperative IZT, combines environmental protection with reducing the digital divide.

The main objective of Digilagun is to give a second life to computers used by companies, thereby reducing environmental impact through their reuse. Simultaneously, it offers individuals lacking digital resources the opportunity to own a personal computer, facilitating their access to new technologies.
To achieve this, the received computers are prepared and equipped with free software. Among other programs, the MX Linux operating system and the LibreOffice productivity suite are installed. When necessary, the equipment can also be provided with wifi connectivity.
The project is developed thanks to the voluntary work of the employees of the IZT cooperative. In Ordizia's case, the Town Hall's Social Services will manage which families will receive the computers. This way, the equipment will reach families in Ordizia facing difficulties in accessing digital resources.
Through this contribution, the Ordizia Town Hall helps give a second life to computer equipment that can still be useful and, at the same time, facilitates families' access to technological resources within the municipality. The initiative thus combines reuse with social inclusion.
