Members of the Oiangu Pelota club participated in the Pau Paleta Tour Championship from April 2 to 5, despite it being a rest period for official competitions, securing a seventh-place finish in the overall standings.

The Oiangu Pelota club from Ordizia participated in the Paleta Tour Championship, held in the French city of Pau, between April 2 and 5. A group of around forty people, including pelota players of different ages, coaches, and parents, formed the expedition, strengthening their involvement in this international circuit.
For several years, Oiangu's pelota players have been competing in the International Youth Leather Paleta Circuit. Last year was their first time attending as a club, and this year they have repeated the experience, solidifying their presence on the international stage.
The tournament lasted four days and saw the participation of 11 teams and approximately 360 pelota players. Matches were played throughout the day, from morning until dusk. From Gipuzkoa, alongside Oiangu, members of the Txost club from Oiartzun also competed.
Sixteen young players represented Oiangu, distributed across various categories: four players in the E12 category, three in E14, three in E16, two in E19, and four in the senior category. They achieved excellent results, securing second place in the E12 category and third place in the E19 category. The club emphasized that “these are very respectable results considering we competed at an elite level.” In the overall championship standings, Oiangu finished in seventh position.
