The N-I road near Olaberria, between Idiazabal and Olaberria, has been reopened to traffic after being closed for nearly three hours following a collision involving a van and a car.

The accident occurred at 9:18 AM, causing traffic jams stretching almost four kilometers. The Basque Department of Security reported that two individuals traveling in the van required medical transfer to a healthcare facility, though their current condition remains unknown.
Cleaning services successfully removed the damaged vehicles and the cargo from one of them, which had fallen onto the right lane heading towards Irun. This operation allowed for the road's reopening. Currently, there are no reported traffic disruptions.
Traffic congestion was concentrated at the accident site and at exit 412, near Idiazabal, where traffic bound for the border had been diverted. The damaged van was towed away by a crane around 11:42 AM, shortly after public works services had cleared the van's merchandise from the left lane.
