The town of Legazpi has officially started its countdown to the Santikutz Jaiak, with drumming rehearsals underway and tickets for popular communal meals now available, setting a festive mood.

The residents of Legazpi have already begun the countdown to their upcoming Santikutz Jaiak. In March, it was announced that this year's Olaria award would be presented to the judo club. This week, tickets for the family-children's meal and the Mirandaola day meal went on sale, and popular drumming rehearsals are set to begin on Friday.
Rehearsals for the popular drumming group will take place on April 10, 14, 17, 21, and 24, at 8:00 PM in the Haztegi Ikastola fronton. For the children and youth drumming group, rehearsals are scheduled for April 14, 16, 20, and 22, at 6:30 PM, at the same location. The general rehearsal for the children and youth drumming group, accompanied by the music band and the Trapalata txaranga, will be on Tuesday, April 28, at 8:00 PM, in the covered court of Olamendi Eskola. The popular drumming group's rehearsal will be on the same day and at the same venue, at 9:00 PM.
Regarding the communal meals, the family-children's meal will be held on Saturday, May 2, at 2:00 PM. The aim is to experience the festivities as a family, and as usual, each person can bring their own food. However, as in previous years, the Lekanazpi society will prepare meat and vegetable paellas. The ticket price is 6 euros, with the last day to purchase tickets being April 24.
For the popular meal on Mirandaola day, which will take place on Sunday, May 10, attendees can also bring food from home or enjoy what is prepared by the members of Lekanazpi. This year, they will prepare a Basque-label rabbit stew, and as last year, the Legazpi Town Council will provide dessert. Drinks can be purchased at the Mirandaola park bar or brought from home. The price of meal tickets is 7 euros, with the last day to purchase them being May 6. Tickets are available at Gurrutxaga, Karibe Zaharra, and Maiatza bars.
The Legazpi festivities will officially kick off on April 30, but the festive atmosphere will arrive in the Urola Garaia town a week earlier with the third edition of the Oin Puntetan Asteburua, organized by the Korosti dance group. On Saturday, April 25, at 10:00 PM in the Urbeltz fronton, Xabi Solano will offer a concert, accompanied by the Kimuak and Korosti dance groups. Tickets for this concert are already on sale for 10 euros at Gurrutxaga and Laubide bars, at the Laubide tobacconist, and at Oskarbi opticians. They can also be purchased on vivetix.com. On the day of the concert, tickets will be available for 12 euros at the Urbeltz fronton. The Oin Puntetan Asteburua will conclude on Sunday, April 26, with the Dantzari Txiki Eguna.
