Ruper Ordorika to Present 'Lurra ikutu barik' at Seminarixoa in Bergara

The acclaimed Oñati-born singer and composer Ruper Ordorika will present his latest album, Lurra ikutu barik, this evening at Seminarixoa in Bergara, accompanied by his band Mugalariak, starting at 8:00 PM.

The concert will take place at Seminarixoa at 8:00 PM, with tickets priced at 8 euros. Ordorika, a versatile musician with nearly half a century in the Basque music scene, returns to the same venue he filled during the pandemic, five years later.
Tonight, he will be joined on stage by his 'mugalaris': Arkaitz Miner (guitar, violin, and mandolin), Lutxo Neira (bass), Hasier Oleaga (drums), Eduardo Lazaga (percussion), and Nando de la Casa (percussion and keyboards). The Seminarixoa venue has a capacity for approximately 300 people.

Ordorika's latest album, Lurra ikutu barik (Elkar, 2025), features eleven songs that interweave poetic reflections on daily life and meditations on the passage of time. Tracks such as Garai batean, Bada leku bat, and Joan zen uda exemplify the composer's distinctive and recognized style.
The album was recorded with the assistance of British musician and producer Leo Abrahams, and included contributions from regular collaborators such as Jon Thorne on double bass, Kenny Wollesen on percussion, and Arkaitz Miner on violin and mandolin.
