The Legazpi Music Band brought the first part of the Santikutz Festivities to a close yesterday evening with a spectacular concert honoring Queen, featuring the collaboration of musicians Jon Gurrutxaga and Patxi Zabaleta.

Yesterday evening, the Legazpi Music Band brilliantly concluded the initial phase of the Santikutz Festivities with an exhilarating concert dedicated to the legendary band Queen. The performance filled the town square with spectators, solidifying the musical group's status as the 'queen' of the stage.
Led by conductor Jesus Castillejo and presented by Xegun Altolagirre, the local musicians delivered an unforgettable session lasting over an hour and a half. The concert featured special guests: singer Jon Gurrutxaga, with his powerful voice, and guitarist Patxi Zabaleta. Pianist Ana Belen Garcia also participated, alongside young Legazpi residents Aiur Goikoetxea on drums and Mattin Merino on bass.
After a slight delay due to weather conditions, the concert commenced to a packed square. This event marked a perfect conclusion to the first stage of the Santikutz Festivities.
However, the celebrations are not yet over, as the next two days will bring more activities. On Saturday, the Sustraiak dance group will perform the Kapela Dantza with the Goiz Deia txistularis, and on Sunday, Mirandaola Eguna will be celebrated, featuring a procession, mass, ezpata-dantza, ironworks demonstrations, and a festival.
