The ELA union has called for two new days of strike in nursing homes across Gipuzkoa to denounce the lack of political and economic will to resolve the ongoing labor conflict.

The labor dispute in nursing homes and day centers in Gipuzkoa has now reached 242 days of strike. In response, ELA has organized protests in the streets of Donostia, concluding in front of the Gipuzkoa Provincial Council.
The collective bargaining table remains deadlocked. The union states that the proposals presented so far do not provide a sufficient basis for an agreement. They argue that the administration, as the sector's authority, must take action to move the negotiations forward.
In addition to general sector strikes, staff at GSR-La Paz, Txara II, and Villa Sacramento in Donostia are currently on indefinite strike. The situation also affects Argixao in Zumarraga, San Jose in Ordizia, San Juan in Zumaia, and Sanmarkosene in Errenteria.
