The Lazkao Town Council has initiated the first phase of works for the Lazkaomendi pedestrian walkway and infrastructure project, aiming to create a safer, more comfortable, and accessible route spanning 1,740 meters in length and 2 meters in width.

The works commenced last October and will adapt an itinerary that is safer, more comfortable, and more accessible for people walking in this area of the municipality. The project foresees the construction of a promenade that will be 1,740 meters long and 2 meters wide. The route will be adapted to the slopes and characteristics of the terrain, respecting the specific features of the rural and natural environment of Lazkaomendi.
To carry out the works, it will be necessary to intervene in several rural plots located along the route. Work will be done to adapt and level the land, as well as to restore accesses and enclosures that may be affected by the construction.
The project's objective is to provide continuity to the pedestrian route and facilitate coexistence between the different uses of the area, with special attention to road safety and the needs of the people who use it.
The tender budget for the action amounts to 361,841.44 euros, excluding VAT, and the works will be carried out by the company Construcciones M. B. Antio, S. L. L. This intervention is part of the actions promoted by the Lazkao Town Council to improve municipal infrastructure and promote safer and more accessible mobility, while also facilitating the enjoyment of the Lazkaomendi environment.
