“"We wanted to respond to the request of several citizens and the excitement felt in the town. The roots of Real Sociedad in Gipuzkoa, and particularly in Beasain, are undeniable. Setting up this screen is not just about providing a space to watch a football match; it's about creating a space for the people of Beasain to come together, share emotions, and collectively strengthen our identity."

The Beasain City Council will install a giant screen this Saturday in Bideluze square for residents to watch the Copa del Rey final live between Real Sociedad and Atletico de Madrid, aiming to foster community unity.
The initiative, organized in collaboration between the Beasain City Council and Beasain Kirol Elkartea, seeks to allow residents to collectively enjoy the Real Sociedad match. The game will kick off at 9:00 PM, and in case of rain, the alternative location will be the small fronton of Gernika promenade.
Mayor Leire Artola stated that, although the decision was made this week, the effort “is worth it” for the council, as it responds to “community cohesion.” She also highlighted that Aritz Elustondo and Beñat Turrientes, players from Real Sociedad's first team and natives of Beasain, are a “mirror for young people,” and their presence in La Cartuja is “as if all of Beasain were there.”
Furthermore, the neighborhood association of Ezkiaga will also set up a screen in the Ezkiaga fronton. The association announced that they will “turn the Ezkiaga fronton into a real stadium,” offering the opportunity to watch the match “on a huge scale” with a projector, in an unbeatable atmosphere. Drinks will be sold for one euro. The City Council and Beasain KE have called on citizens to enjoy the event “with civility, respect, and in a positive manner.”
