Participants will need to connect several mountain summits between Urretxu, Zumarraga, and Azkoitia. In total, they will face a route spanning 30 kilometers with 1,800 meters of cumulative elevation gain.
They will have to pass through Izazpi (973 meters), Pagotxeta (750 meters), Samiño (927 meters), Oñamendi (832 meters), Aizpurutxo (220 meters), Trekutz (700 meters), and Irimo (903 meters), before returning to the starting point.
The trek will commence from the Areizaga-Kalebarren square in Urretxu-Zumarraga on Sunday, approximately between 07:00 and 07:30.
The organizers will close the registration period for participation in the march today, Friday.
In-person registration can be completed today until 21:00 at the Ostadar mountain club in Urretxu-Zumarraga, or at the Ispilla sports center in Zumarraga, Aldiri in Urretxu, or Bikuña in Legazpi. Additionally, registration can be done before midnight via the Iñaki Beitia mountain march website. The registration fee is 10 euros regardless of the method.
