The taxes, fees, and public prices approved by the Usurbil City Council for the year 2026 have been in force since January 1, and the fiscal calendar has been established to ensure timely payments by citizens.

The taxes, fees, and public prices approved by the Usurbil City Council for the year 2026 have been in force since January 1. Alongside these, the City Council has also approved the fiscal calendar for payments. According to this calendar, the “fee for using public roads for the weekly market corresponding to the first quarter of 2026” must be paid between April 1 and May 4.
The register for this fee has been approved and is available for public inspection at the municipal treasury. Citizens will have one month to review the register, starting from April 24, as per the notification published in the Official Gazette of Gipuzkoa on April 23. Additionally, water, sewerage, and waste fees for the first quarter of 2026 will be due in May.
The new fiscal ordinances were definitively and unanimously approved by the Municipal Plenary in an extraordinary session held on December 5. The decision was published through the Official Gazette of Gipuzkoa on December 17, thus bringing the municipal taxes, fees, and public prices into effect with the start of the new year.
The municipal government team's objective is to provide citizens with the best possible public services through these revenues, ensuring financial balance between citizens' needs and municipal income. These ordinances are seen as a means to build a more “egalitarian, livable, and sustainable” Usurbil.
Fiscal ordinances are drafted annually starting in September, using the CPI of the Basque Autonomous Community as a reference. For 2026, the general increase in Usurbil's taxes, fees, and public prices will be 3%, although there will be some exceptions, as in previous years.
