The Urola Erdia region is set to launch “Urola, historia eta paisaia bazterrak,” a guided tour program promoted by Iraurgi Berritzen, aiming to showcase the historical-cultural heritage and natural environment of the valley.

A total of 24 free excursions will be offered (12 in Basque and 12 in Spanish), allowing participants to discover various enclaves in the municipalities of Errezil, Azkoitia, Azpeitia, and Zestoa. The activities will run from April 11 to August 30.
The program kicks off this weekend in Errezil with two visits focused on the blooming of the Ibarbi apple. The first tour, in Basque, will take place on the morning of April 11, followed by a second in Spanish on Sunday, April 12. The meeting point for both will be the San Martín parish at 10:00 AM, where a three-hour route will begin, concluding with a tasting of apple-derived products.
To participate, advance registration is required at Ekoetxea Azpeitia (tel. 943 812 448; e-mail: info.azpeitia@ekoetxea.eus) or at the Loiola Tourist Office (tel. 688 759 429; 943 151 878; e-mail: i-loiola@urolaturismoa.eus).
The Basque-language tours will continue on May 23 in Azkoitia, exploring the town's origins and its connection to the San Martín hermitage. Azpeitia's Old Town will be the focus of the June 21 tour, followed by one centered on Azkoitia's pelota tradition on July 4. In August, tours include “Azkoitia: Dorretxe eta Jauregi artean” (August 2) and “Altzolaratz, errota eta baserrien haran ezkutua” (August 5).

In Zestoa, the San Lorenzo hermitage and its surroundings will be visited on August 10, while a tour of the town's historic center will take place on August 21. The Basque-language program will conclude on August 29 with a visit to the Chapel of Soledad in Azpeitia.
The Spanish-language tours will begin on April 12 in Errezil and continue with the San Martín hermitage in Azkoitia on May 24. Azpeitia's historic center will be the focus on June 20, and Azkoitia's pelota tradition on July 5. The agenda also includes the tour “Zestoa: San Lorenzo hermitage” on July 12 and a visit to Altzolaratz on July 19, in addition to a tour of Zestoa's historic center on July 25.
In August, there will be a route among tower houses and palaces in Azkoitia (August 1) and visits to the Sanctuary of Loyola on the 8th, 13th, 19th, and 26th. The program will conclude on August 30 in Azpeitia with the Chapel of Soledad.
