The Azkoitia Batzoki, established in 1907 and located on Julio Urkixo street since 1981, has celebrated its first anniversary since its renovation last year, with an Euskal Jaia featuring rural sports demonstrations and tastings.

This historic building, founded in 1907, has played a significant role in the town's life. The headquarters, situated on Julio Urkixo street since 1981, underwent a complete renovation last year and reopened its doors with a new look on April 25th, one year ago.
To commemorate this first anniversary, an Euskal Jaia was organized on Saturday, starting at 12:00 PM. This event showcased impressive demonstrations of Basque rural sports, featuring aizkolaris Eneko Otaño and Ugaitz Mugertza, as well as harri-jasotzaileak Xabier Aranburu Guzta and Jon Unanue Goenatxo III.a.
Following this, at 1:15 PM, a ham tasting was held, accompanied by Basque songs, creating a lively atmosphere. The celebrations will continue on May 2nd, with a spokesperson from the Basque Parliament and the mayor of Elgoibar meeting with young people.
Furthermore, on June 4th, the final pre-summer session of Batzokixen Berriketan will take place, featuring a spokesperson for the PNV in the Spanish Congress.
