Summer-like weather continues in Gipuzkoa, with maximum temperatures reaching up to 25 degrees inland. However, this pleasant weather is merely the prelude to a rainy weekend. Those wishing to enjoy outdoor strolls have their chance this Thursday and Friday.
On Thursday, the sky will generally be clear across the territory, although minimum temperatures will drop to 14 degrees in Donostia and 10 degrees in Arrasate. This will occur during the early and late hours of the day, as central hours are expected to see highs of 20 and 24 degrees respectively, according to the Basque meteorological agency, Euskalmet.
A very similar atmosphere is expected for Friday, with even slightly higher temperatures. Anyone who still wants to take a dip at the beach should do so now. Despite some low clouds at the beginning of the day, sunny skies will prevail. The wind will blow from the southeast in the morning and shift to the northeast in the afternoon. Daytime temperatures will rise again, with highs exceeding 25 degrees in many inland areas.
The real turning point arrives on Saturday, with rains beginning mid-morning and extending until the start of next week.
